Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance objectives of one or more simultaneous projects in various stages of production and serves as the primary interface between the company and our customers to ensure compliance with contractual commitments; may supervise the activities of assigned Contract Administrator, Production controllers, Quality Assurance personnel and/or supply chain personnel assigned to the program

Qualifications:

§ Develops and implements a tactical plan including definition of scope, milestones, deliverables resources, schedules, and reviews with management and customers.

§ Interacts and coordinates requirements with all functional groups including Supply Chain, Operations, Sales and Marketing and Finance.

§ Develops and distributes business forecast to company personnel on a regular basis to assist in material and personnel planning.

§ Provides leadership; plans and facilitates team coordination and communication through organized team activities, problem/risk resolution meetings, one-on-one meetings, regular team status meetings, etc.

§ Monitors adherence to master plan and schedules throughout program life cycle; evaluates work orders, customer specifications and materials inventory lists, and machine and worker production rates, to establish allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, machines, and sequences of operations and workflow.

§ Establishes status reporting systems and continually manages project contract compliance, expenditures, schedules, task completions, cost to complete, contractual changes, deliveries, technical baselines and quality.

§ Identifies potential program problems and implement solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specific actions.

§ Determines program risks and develops appropriate mitigation plans.

§ Analyzes performance to determine profit margin; apply continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems to increase efficiency and customer service and to reduce costs.

§ Ensures that new processes are compliant and/or required certifications are obtainable.

§ Serves as the single point of authority for internal and external customers and for the program’s success.

§ Ensures all customer issues are resolved in a timely, effective and professional manner.

§ Schedules frequent calls and/or visits to the customer to provide program reviews to discuss cost, schedule, technical performance or contract issues; coordinates all customer visits.

§ Ensures accuracy of customer profile database and customer relationship management tools

§ Reviews RFQs, bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.

§ Assists the sales department in the development of new/renewed contract proposals utilizing the results of the current contract to help direct changes in the renew contract.

§ Develops new business or expands the product line with existing customers.

§ Ensures that assigned contracts and contract provisions are clear and in accordance with policy, contract law and applicable regulations.

§ Prepares and issues purchase order requests, bid requests and change requests.

§ Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, vendors and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.

§ Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

§ Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

§ Thorough knowledge of:

  • Production control management within aerospace

  • Aftermarket aerospace industry, with specific expertise in supply chain or repair and overhaul preferred.

  • Various quality and inspection requirements, manufacturing processes and measurement techniques

  • Blueprint interpretation, commercial and government specifications.

  • Business acumen with the ability to understand and interpret financial information and handle financial accountability.

  • Microsoft office basics.

§ Skill to:

  • Cross-functional team leadership

  • Communicate, coach, motivate, provide constructive feedback, counsel and listen.

  • Present complex information during meetings, interaction with peers, written communication, including technical reports.

  • Problem solves and risk assessment/abatement.

  • Apply project management, program management and presentation software tools.

  • Apply industry leading practices to the successful execution of this job.
