Technician - Avionics is responsible for effectively performing R&E routine work associated with heavy aircraft A, B, C and D checks. Our technician III role is ideal for new graduates from technical or A&P school. Within the role of Technician – Avionics there are 3 different levels one can apply for. See below for the differences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on the level in which you are qualified for and get hired into duties and responsibility may vary.

  • Able to Perform basic maintenance tasks under supervision.

  • Able to use FAA approved data (i.e., IPC, M/M. OHM, SRM) proficiently.

  • Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards.

  • Able to troubleshoot aircraft avionics and electrical systems using approved technical data and minimum supervision.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing avionics and electrical modifications with little supervision.

  • Understand engineering methodology for systems installations.

  • Detailed knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. Technician I – Avionics (R&E) (highest level)

· High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.

· Must have a minimum of 5-years related experience and/or training.

· FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license, FCC license or repairman certificate required.

· Computer keypunch experience.

· Previous experience in warehousing, handling inventory, and bar code equipment.

  1. Technician II – Avionics (R&E)

· High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.

· Must have a minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training.

· 2 years previous experience, required.

· FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license, FCC license or Repairman certificate, preferred.

· Computer keypunch experience.

· Previous experience in warehousing, handling inventory, and bar code equipment.

  1. Technician III – Avionics (R&E)

· High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.

· Must have 1 to 3 years aviation maintenance experience.

· Should gave R&E experience (including relative experience outside of Aviation).

· May or may not have an A and/or P license, FCC license, or repairman’s certificate

· Must possess and be able to skillfully use the minimum tools required.

· Must possess the ability to learn.
