SUMMARY:

Develop and maintain an effective Quality Assurance Program to ensure proper compliance with the maintenance requirements, practices, and procedures with emphasis on material condition of the aircraft, as well as an Aviation Safety SOP. The Quality Assurance Program shall be part of the AAR Defense Systems & Logistics’ Parts 121 and 145 operations, as applicable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and maintain quality systems in accordance with program and company requirements.

  • Administers AAR’s ISO 9001:2008 registered Quality Management System.

  • Implement and maintain safety/environmental programs in accordance with program and company requirements

  • AAR APRISe business unit (Program) focal point.

  • Manages the Personnel Certification, Licensing, Qualifications, Training and Records Management plan.

  • Provide cross utilization training to all on site supply personnel in inspection and issuing procedures.

  • Implement and ensure the conduct of internal audit and corrective action program.

  • Prepares for and acts as focal point for ISO, US Government and customer quality/safety audits.

  • Participate in all flight safety meetings.

  • External and internal audit focal point.

  • Ensure that corrective and preventive actions follow effective root-cause analysis processes.

  • Act as advocate for high quality/safe operations.

  • Ensures that quality policies and procedures are adhered to at all sites.

  • All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) from a four year college or university; or ten (10) years related experience.

  • Ten (10) years of experience on the Boeing 737NG or equivalent airframe.

  • Must hold valid Airframe and Powerplant License.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).

Desired:

  • Quality Management/Audit credential preferred

  • Safety credential preferred

  • HAZMAT credential preferred

  • Inspection authorization
