AAR Services, repairs, and overhauls aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure airworthiness by performing the following duties. This roles duties includes the following to support our goals and objectives;

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process daily incoming and outgoing material to meet

  • Quality Control requirements as stated in the AAR ISO 9000 Procedures Manual and Customer Requirements Manual.

  • Assist the Director of Quality Control in reviewing and updating department standards.

  • Interface with suppliers / product line to disposition rejects.

  • Perform NDT inspections in compliance with customer work instructions, and AAR procedures and policies.

  • Record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the customer policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Aircraft and Components.

  • Have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the NDT method(s) as used by the employer.

  • Shall be capable of assuming technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff.

  • Be capable of selecting the method and technique for a specific inspection.

  • Be capable of preparing and verifying the adequacy of procedures and work instructions.

  • Approve NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy.

  • Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods, product manufacturing, and inspection technologies used by the employer.

  • When specified in the written practice, have a basic knowledge of aircraft or vehicle maintenance.

  • Be capable of providing or directing training, examination, and certification of personnel.

  • Conduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency in this ability was included in the practical examination.

  • When specified in the written practice, be capable of auditing outside agencies to ensure the requirements of the written practice are met.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:

  • Level II certification for one or more applicable Non-destructive Testing (NDT) disciplines, such as ultrasonic, eddy current.

  • Ability to correctly use one or more types of applicable NDT equipment.

  • 3-4 years experience in aircraft Non-destructive Testing (NDT).

  • Familiar with aircraft manufacturers technical documentation.

  • Ability to read and interpret ADs, S/Bs, SRMs, industry NDT specifications and other work instructions.

  • Familiar with regulatory requirements of FAR 145 repair station.

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License highly preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school; or 4-years related experience and/or training; or

  • equivalent combination of education and experience.
