The Technician II (B), R&E is responsible for effectively performing R&E routine work associated with heavy aircraft A, B, C and D checks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Able to troubleshoot aircraft avionics and electrical systems using approved technical data and minimal supervision.

  • Understand engineering methodology for systems installations.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing avionics and electrical modifications with little supervision.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Must have a minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.

  • 2 years previous experience required.

  • Must have an Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) certificates (A&P), FCC license and/or repairman certificate.

  • Computer keypunch experience

  • Previous experience in warehousing, handling inventory, and bar code equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.

  • Frequently: Lifting ≤40 lbs., push/pull <20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling for extended periods, working in confined spaces. Working above chest-level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods. Bending, twisting of torso, twisting and/or pressure with wrist/hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrations up to 2 hrs. to high vibrations up to 30 mins. Vision with/without correction; near <20”, far >20’, and basic depth perception (shapes). Working at elevated heights ≥4’, working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts.

  • Occasionally: Lifting and/or carry ≤50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operation of motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull <50 lbs., work in wet conditions.
