Responsible for leading and managing projects supporting aircraft fleet maintenance, logistics, procurement, and support functions. Ensure projects successfully meet the specified requirements in scope, on time and within budget.


  • Reportsdirectly to the Director of Logistics, Procurement and Support Services

  • Supportsmultiple long and short-term Logistics-oriented projects

  • Worksindependently and within all size teams

  • Supportsthe needs of the OCONUS aircraft sites to include occasional visits totroubleshoot, implement changes, conduct site surveys and audits

  • Leadstroubleshooting projects with baselining the problem area, gathering data,analyzing it, creating root cause analysis, presenting resolution options with prosand cons, identifies risks and impacts, fosters cross-functional collaborativeconsensus, promotes change management where required, and ensures successfultraining and solution ownership.

  • Ensurescompliance with all contractual requirements

  • Managesappropriate schedules for each project

  • Ensuresbudget is approved and managed throughout the duration of each project

  • Identifiesrisks and weaknesses and integrates mitigations into planning

  • Buildsand reports progress and impediments appropriately

  • Supportmaterial assessments for forecasting and staging for site requirements

  • Supportassessments and disposition of excess inventory

  • Supportthe Procurement organization with turn-around time analysis, processimprovement, and problem resolution

  • Supportthe Warehouse, Receiving and Shipping with process improvement based on dataanalysis

  • Supportthe analysis of Supply throughput, identify problems and solutions, then managethe implementation and process changes required in a timely manner

  • Assistin the development of process metrics and their associated productivityanalysis

  • Provideleadership and guidance to the Program Management Office (PMO) and theassociated support staff

  • Respondsto and educates the PMO staff members on Supply/Logistics status andrequirements. Seeks to help staff members to become more and more reliant oncustom reports and existing tools.

  • Mustbe a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational andprogram objectives

  • Mustbe able to successfully interface with all levels of management, includingfunctional management, supplier management and the customer management team

  • Mustbe able to exert influence and have an effect on the overall objectives andlong-range goals of the program and customer

  • Usesdata to drive change into the processes and process stakeholders

  • Providesthe Director with detailed, well-conceived, data-driven recommendations to resolvechallenges and create measureable improvements

  • Performsother duties as assigned

  • Sometravel, including overseas to austere locations is required (10% Travel)

  • Positionrequires a U.S. Security Clearance

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-yearcollege or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experiencein material processes and controls or a diverse set of equivalent experience ina number of supply, logistics and/or program functions

  • Minimum of 5 of those yearsare in aerospace material management

  • Multiple examples of projectleadership and thorough problem resolution management

  • Minimum of 5 years’experience as a project/program manager

  • Materialprocess improvement experience

  • Experiencein team management and consensus building

  • Proficient in MicrosoftOffice Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

  • Mustpossess and/or obtain either an MRPT or a Secret Security Clearance, asrequired for the position, prior to hire.


  • Master’sDegree in a related field

  • SixSigma or Lean process improvement certification

  • AerospaceSupply Chain/Logistics background is highly desired

  • GAINSor other sparing model analysis experience is highly desired

  • Workedin a DoD or Government contract environment is a plus

  • Familiaritywith Export, ITAR, EAR99 and Customs requirements is a plus

  • Experiencein leading cross-functional teams

  • Demonstratedperformance against financial budgets and forecasts

  • Experiencesupporting proposal efforts

  • Experienceimplementing continuous improvement, Six Sigma or Lean methodologies/principals

  • Abilityto maintain strong customer relationships

  • Priormilitary experience
