Responsible for maintaining of aircraft and their associated engines and sub-systems to ensure airworthiness. Perform maintenance for C130. The duties include, but are not limited to: aircraft servicing, maintaining, repair, inspection; reporting of aircraft status; technical and logistical support for aircraft issues; technical support for aircraft.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Thecompletion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, parts ordering andaircraft issues.
Repairs,replaces and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as cowlings and fuselage, andfunctional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing andhydraulic units; using hand tools, power tools, machines and equipment such asshears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun and drills.
Readsand interprets manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins,and other related documentation to determine feasibility and method of alteringor repairing the aircraft and its associated components, determining theairworthiness of the aircraft and its associated components and replacement formalfunctioning or damaged components.
Repairsor replaces defective parts and associated components.
Troubleshoots,repairs and replaces electrical wiring and associated components.
Performsroutine duties within the first echelon, such as: to service aircraft,including hydraulic system servicing, engine oil replenishment, aircraftsystems lubrication, aircraft fueling, clean windows, change tires, brakes,light bulbs.
Interactswith company MOC, the customer and manufacturer in matters that concern theairworthiness of the aircraft, operational readiness of the aircraft and issuesrelated to the troubleshooting of the aircraft's system.
Mustknow the maintenance sections of the maintenance manual, the operation and theprovisions and applicable parts of Military Maintenance.
Musteffectively interact with Company and customer representatives as well as withrepresentatives of on-site business or military entities.
Performapplicable C-130H related maintenance tasks to include any specialcertification/qualification tasks, i.e., engine runs, servicing oraircraft towing in accordance with applicable C-130H technical orders.
Allother duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
HighSchool diploma or GED.
Ten (10) years’ C-130H aviation maintenance experience.
Musthave experience with working from blueprint drawings, diagram, specifications,service manuals, sketches, templates and other incomplete data.
Knowledgeand understanding of applicable Maintenance Program.
USAF7-Skill level as a C-130 Technician
Fullunderstanding of AFTO 781 aircraft forms
FederalAviation Administration Airframe and Power Plant License.
StrongElectrical/Avionics background a plus
Ten(10) years’ C-130H Maintenance expeditor / production superintendentexperience
Knowledgeand understanding of applicable C-130 Maintenance Program.
Position is located OCONUS and in an austere environment; work is being performed in a on the flight line, limited hangar or aviation field environment.
Mustbe able to lift and parts, tooling and other awkward items sometimes weighinggreater than 50 lbs, including up and down stairs.
Requiresintermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bendingthroughout the workday.
Mustbe able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses tofunction adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can befully met.
