Senior Sales and Business Development Director – US Based
Airinmar, a subsidiary of AAR Corp., is recruiting a Senior Sales and Business Development Director to manage and grow its business in the Americas. The position will be located such that the successful candidate has easy access to a major US airport hub; preferably this would be Dallas but other locations such as Chicago or Atlanta would also be suitable.
Airinmar specializes in providing: (i) aircraft component Repair Cycle Management (RCM) support services and systems; (ii) aircraft warranty consultancy and in-service support; and (iii) a soon to be launched innovative stand-alone (SaaS) cloud-based Repair Cycle Management system “Airvolution”. Airinmar’s customers are global and include airlines, helicopter operators, aircraft manufacturers and MROs.
Reporting to the Head of Sales and Business Development in the UK, the successful candidate will be responsible for growing the Americas business through prospecting and securing new customers, as well as providing operational support of existing customers. The role includes the following:
Identifying new business opportunities with prospective customers covering all product offerings as (i) – (iii) detailed above.
Delivering sales presentations at both senior executive and operational levels, including application demos of both RCM systems and Airvolution
With respect to specific sales support role required for Airvolution the following applies:
Management of new and existing commercial SaaS opportunities from conception/inbound to close, with a focus on consultation and solution design.
Partner with key AAR Digital and Airinmar stakeholders critical to the core digital product (Airvolution) – including integration, delivery, and development.
Ensure a successful on-boarding and persistent implementation (ideally renewal, on subscription) for a personal book of business, ensuring the customer-technology provider relationship is optimized for both parties benefit and that all relevant resources from both AAR Digital and Airinmar are leveraged to maximize value.
Producing Service proposals for prospective customers, across all product offerings, and coordinating a revenue plan with Airinmar’s Head of Finance.
Negotiating Services proposal with prospective customer to secure the business, with support from UK team as required.
Producing Services contract and negotiate terms with customer, with support from UK team and Airinmar’s Legal Counsel. (With regards to Airvolution working knowledge of software contracts would be beneficial)
Producing annual sales budget and contribute fully during financial year to reaching or exceed plan.
Maintaining senior relationships and providing operational support to UK based team with existing and new on-boarded customers.
Continually working to grow the business and upsell additional Airinmar services.
Candidates should ideally have at least a bachelor’s degree (Comp Sci, Systems Eng., Aeronautical Eng., or Engineering Mgmt), have good sales experience and a track record within the aviation market and/or technology-centric Products or Solutions (B2B Enterprise SaaS preferred), including a detailed knowledge of supply chain management and a good understanding of modern web applications.
Successful candidates will have a proven track record of selling and assisting in the delivery of technology-centric Products or Solutions (B2B Enterprise SaaS preferred).
The candidate must be able to proficiently work at all levels within the organization, and demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
