SUMMARY

Maintenance Mechanics are under the immediate and direct supervision of a Certified Technician and are ultimately responsible to the Director of Maintenance. It will be the responsibility of the Maintenance Mechanic to perform assigned duties safely and in a manner that will ensure the airworthiness of the aviation product maintained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Only perform those duties for which they have been properly trained.

-Maintain personal tools in a condition that will not compromise the condition of the product being maintained.

-Replace simple items such as, batteries, filters and similar accessories, using basic mechanic hand tools.

-Remove/ install inspection plates, cowling, engine covers, floor boards, and related items.

-Technician helper for 2 person tasks.

-Clean aircraft interior and exterior.

-Basic aircraft interior maintenance work such as: hydro lock changes, window shades, cabin trim, carpet changes, lamp replacement (for reading, galley, lav, ceiling, and cove lights).

-Lube tasks (gear, wing, and tail lubes).

-General utility work including: staging and servicing hydraulic/oil carts, swapping out nitrogen bottles.

-Equipment round-up for maintenance tasks (i.e. tire carts, jacks, dollies, nitrogen bottles for tire/break changes).

-Complete all paperwork in accordance with the procedures outlined in the RSM.

-Maintain the work area in a clean and safe manner.

-All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

-High School diploma or General Education degree required. Some maintenance experience (including relative experience outside of Aviation). Strong interpersonal, communication skills, ability to read, comprehend and write English required.
