The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.
Role Description:
Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to site production controllers in carrying out daily functions, responsibilities, and workload of the Production Control Department. Works in conjunction with Maintenance and tracks requirements and MIS data of Maintenance, Quality Control QC, Ground Support Equipment GSE, Logistics, and Operations, responsible for accurate input of flight data, completed maintenance actions, upcoming maintenance requirements, and the numerous daily processes to insure we safely meet mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate maintenance documentation in the aircraft logbooks and Maintenance Information System MIS and is updated daily.
Maintain the control exchange program CE, ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedure and Program Work Statement requirements, coordinate with logistics and assign controlled exchange DOC numbers as applicable.
Generate Non Reportable Time requests for each applicable aircraft, this is done through accurately and precisely documenting and tracking each Non Mission Capable or Partially Mission Capable maintenance discrepancy which would qualify for Non Reportable Time.
Maintain the waiver log and assists the maintenance manager and engineering in generating, submitting, and tracking waiver variance requests.
Creates the following reports: Daily Status, Weekly maintenance tracking, Open Discrepancy, GSE and SME tracking, Phase flow, 1352, Contract Deliverable Report List CDRL, and Time Before Overhaul TBO.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and government regulations.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws.
Verify accurate maintenance documentation through use of the Program Work Statement PWS, Program Directive PD, DoS Pam GEN 01 and the AR 700 138 23
Verify accurate and correct information on the DoS 2408 forms that constitute a flight pack. After last flight of the mission day, run flight packs, close out in AWIS, and generate new flight packs for the next days mission Track and push any Scheduled Maintenance, TBOs, QCLs, MWOs, ASAMs or AMAMS to the logbooks to be scheduled to be worked.
Monitor faults to confirm any fault that creates one or more additional fault(s) follows the hierarchy of MJCN and all JCNs associated to the original fault. - Track parts ordered against JCNs.
Create Off Wing Work Orders and create Unserviceable Demands as required to facilitate repairs on uninstalled equipment and parts.
Ensure daily status is accurate and follows the guidelines of the PD. Accuracy of tracking aircraft status time each day is crucial to the FMC rate.
Closely track and schedule any Special Mission Equipment SME and Ground Support Equipment GSE for upcoming inspections prior to going overdue.
Provide Maintenance Manager with the following reports for each model aircraft. Open Discrepancy Report aka deferred maintenance, Tracking Reports, TBO Report, Phase Flow, GSE and SME reports, 1352 report and the monthly CDRL deliverables report.
Maintain the Controlled Exchange program for site guidelines in the SOP and PWS
Create C document numbers in the Material module for Stock Control
Generate Non Reportable Time NRT for applicable aircraft through accurate and precise documentation of NMC or PMC maintenance discrepancies, for optimal program metrics.
Waiver Variance Request, assist the Maintenance Manager and engineering in generating, submitting, and tracking Waiver Variance Requests as well as keeping an accurate Log of submitted requests.
Reporting is paramount, knowledge of the GEN 01, PD, and PWS is essential for the accuracy of information entered in the MIS system to maintain the highest OR rate possible.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED.
Minimum six (6) years of aviation maintenance experience.
Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint) and computerized maintenance tracking programs necessary to perform job functions.
Must be capable of multi-tasking, adapt to changing priorities.
Must be able to obtain and maintain at a minimum an MRPT.
Experience in performing required tasks in accordance with regulatory guidelines in the aviation industry.
Ability to interpret complex computer-generated data and make production centric recommendations.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Program Work Statement (PWS), Program Directive PD, DoS Pam GEN 01 and the AR 700 138 23.
Current Prior Experience on INLA program
Production Control, and MIS Knowledge
Creating and formatting the required reports stated above with emphasis on Daily Status, 1352 monthly daily status report, and Contract Deliverable Requirement List CDRL is essential.
Knowledge of Army aviation maintenance documentation.
Current FAA issued mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
